I left a few of the tomato plants since they were still loaded with tomatoes... But to be honest they are dead and black and barely hanging on to the baler twine still lol. But it felt good to clean out most of the beds before winter, but I still have a few beds out there with soggy and gross plants lol. It got down to 21 degrees really fast this year. Coldest I have seen this early in the season. On top of that the USDA moved us from a zone 8b to a 9a! I don't know if I can trust it. But its exciting to see our growing season extending. Soon we will be planting melons and sweet potatoes if these hotter summers continue. But our nights still get pretty cold during the season.
I bought black baler twine this year so you can't really see it. It looks so nice and tidy compared to the orange twine I used in previous years.
